Escrow & funding
How money is locked, approved, and released.
How does escrow work?
When a brand funds a contract, the agreed amount is locked in escrow right away. Creators can safely start work knowing funds are reserved. Money is only released to the creator’s wallet after the brand approves the deliverable (or after an official dispute decision). If a brand never funds, the contract is not active and no payment obligation exists on UGCify.
When are platform fees taken?
Platform fees (Nano or Micro tier rates) and any payout gateway fees are deducted when escrow is released to the creator — not when the brand tops up. Brands see budget clearly on the brief; creators see estimated net payout before they accept work.
Can a brand cancel after funding?
Once escrow is funded, cancellation follows the dispute / early-close rules on that contract. Unused work or clear abandonment may lead to a partial or full refund to the brand after compliance review. Talk to both parties first from the contract chat whenever possible.
Briefs & apply
Posting, applying, badges, and awards.
How do I post a strong brief?
Use the 4-step wizard: write a clear title and description (tone, must-haves, references), set budget and deadline, choose markets (or All countries), then optionally add boost badges (Urgent, Hot, Professional). Badge fees are charged from your brand wallet on publish.
What do Urgent, Hot, and Professional badges do?
They are multi-select boosts. You can combine them on one brief. Hot ranks highest in creator browse, then Urgent, then Professional. Standard listing is always included for free. Paid badges help creators spot high-priority opportunities faster.
How do creators apply and get awarded?
Verified creators browse open briefs, filter by priority, country, and tier, then submit an application. Brands review applicants on the brief page and award one creator. Awarding creates a contract ready for escrow funding.
Wallet & payouts
Top-ups, withdrawals, USD and IQD.
How do I add funds or withdraw?
Open Wallet from the app nav. Brands top up for escrow and optional badge fees. Creators withdraw available balances via supported methods (e.g. Stripe rails for USD, ZainCash or FIB for IQD where available). Gateway fees appear before you confirm.
Why is my balance different from what I earned?
Escrow releases credit the creator wallet after platform and gateway deductions. Pending withdrawals, open disputes, or ledger holds can also reduce what’s available to cash out. Check the wallet ledger for each fee, release, and withdraw entry.
Verification
Creator checks and portfolio rules.
How do I get verified as a creator?
Complete your profile, social links, and portfolio (real work only), then submit verification from Creator → Verification. Our team typically reviews within about 48 hours. Unverified creators can browse, but applying is locked until approval.
What is Nano vs Micro tier?
Creators under 50,000 followers are Nano; 50,000+ are Micro. Micro creators usually keep a larger share after platform fees. Tier also helps brands target briefs (or leave “Any tier”). Professional boosts bias toward Micro-facing creative work.
Disputes
What happens when a deal goes wrong.
What happens if we disagree?
Either party can open a dispute from the contract. Compliance reviews the brief, deadlines, uploads, ratings notes, and messages. Outcomes can include full release to the creator, full refund to the brand, or a split. Bad-faith abuse may lead to account limits.
How long does review of deliverables take?
Brands should review within a reasonable window stated on the contract or brief. Ignoring valid deliveries repeatedly may be treated as a delay and can favor release after dispute review.
Platform rules
What is allowed — and what is not.
What content is not allowed?
No illegal, infringing, hateful, adult/exploit, or clearly misleading advertising. No fake metrics, stolen portfolios, or impersonation. Geo-blocked markets and platform moderation still apply. Violations can pause wallets or suspend accounts.
